Okay so I know I haven't posted in a long time, and this post isn't actually going to be of an importance either but I want to show my progress on my costume.

So it's Queen Serenity (Mommy Moon) Its all completed except for the Prop. The wings are detachable.

I'll post more important life stuff at a later date. (Maybe...<.<) But don't worry I'm doing well. I'm just over worked these days and no money to show for it.

I'm undecided on alot of costumes this year but here are all the ones I want to do in the future. Some are definites and some are if I have time and money.

1: Cheerleader(Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan) - It's either one of them or one of the EBD's. Haven't decided yet. But I'm leaning more towards the EBD.
2: Asuka(Rave Figure) - It's cute, and I'm always up for rave gear. :3
3: Dr. Mrs. The Monarch(Venture Brothers)- Can't wait for this one. It's one of my personal favs. Too bad I won't have a Monarch with me. :(
4: Dinah(Bizenghast)- This dress is beautiful and I've always wanted to do it. I put it off for 2 yrs now because I thought I didn't have enough experience. This year I'm going for it. May not be done till Otakon though.
5: Ariel(Little Mermaid)- I adore disney and Ariel and I love this dress. It will be done. And I'll have my own Eric.
6: Jareth(The Labyrinth)- Personal Fav. It'll be done for the Haven Club Masquerade and for Arisia if I get roped into it again.
7: CereCere(Sailor Moon SS) - I love her but only if I can get the whole group will I end up making it.
8: Elite Beat Diva(EBA)- Always loved them and the game. So its either them or cheerleaders.
9: Rei Ayanami(Evangelion)- Plugsuit <.< the construction will be hard but I've always wanted to do it.
10: Tin Nyanko(Sailor StarS)- On my must do list. This will be done!
11: Money Girl(Nerima Daikon Brothers)- I love these girls. They all look the same and dance around when needed. What could be better.
12: Prince Demand(Sailor Moon R)- Not sure if I'll be doing it yet or I'll have someone else do it to go with my Black Lady costume. Either way it'll be done.
13: Rosetta(Kaleido Star)- I love Kaleido Star and I figured I'd do someone different.
14: Queen Serenity(Sailor Moon)- Always wanted to do her, so maybe this year it'll be done.
15: CyberGoth- Another one of my original rave outfit designs. I'll be rockin this get up at all the raves. :3
16: FullMoon- I love this girl and this looks like a cute simple costume to make. But this ones only if I need another outfit, or I ran out of funds for the rest. ^^;;

Well there ya go. I know the list is long but it'll get narrowed down eventually. I got time. ^_^

My familys getting a new house and we're moving in a few weeks, but the awesome thing about it is I get the whole finished basement as my sewing area. So Large fluffy dresses here I come. XD

I just got my new business cards in the mail today! >< Their so glossy and it has my cos.com and cosplaylab Username on the back. I only got 250 of them though just because I didn't want to buy too many, incase they came out crappy. I also got a window cling and customized pen with my business name and info on it too.

Again, soo excited. And for those who don't know I run a cosplay business Called BlackMoon. ^^

So I went on Cosplay.com and I found the thread for the Lolita Tea Party. And I remember Lo saying that she was in charge of it while we were at Arisia. I've been wanting to go fo rthe past 2 years. So anyway, obviously I figured I wanted to make a new lolita outfit for it, but I can't decide between 3 things:

I want to do a character from Paradise Kiss since I wanted to for a long time, I figured this would be a good excuse. ^^ My first choice is Yukari (the first picture), but I wasn't sure if it was lolita at all. The other 2 are Miwako outfits I thought were cute! ><

I thought that maybe I'd be able to get alot done today after hanging out with Anthony but I was so wrong. I got home at 6pm and i wanted to sit and relax a little since i was tired and had to work all morning. I ended up falling asleep for about 2 hours! So already I'm 2 hours down, and on top of that my sister was watching "To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything!" and I just had to sit down and watch it. So I ended up starting to work at about 10:30pm, and I only hemmed the skirt and reinforced the sides of Maria's dress. That's it! I should've had the boot covers done at least tonight. Ugh.. this is so going to bite me in the ass.

And now I need to head to bed because I have to be to work for 9am. So I got nothing accomplished today. nothing. I'm so angry at myself. And on top of that I have to work everyday till boston, I don't know when I'm going to have time for this.

Sailor Moon Gathering

For any of you that are going to Anime Boston:

I made a sailor moon gathering @ 2pm on Saturday, we'll be meeting in the general area outside of Au Bon Pain (It's easy to find) and we'll be moving to another location for the shoot.

Figured I'd let people know just incase they're interested in joining us.

I'll be Sailor Star Fighter, I also have Rachael as Taiki in the school uniform, and a Sailor Cosmos. There's otheres going to the con as well but haven't mentioned anything about showing up as of yet. I guess it'll be a surprise to who shows up.

Also there's a naruto and death note gathering at the same time and area, so I'd like to try and outdo them. There's going to be so many.

And if you decide to go, PLEASE DON'T BE LATE! we'd like to not lose anyone that wanted to be there. We'll wait a few minutes and then move to the next area.

I feel like I' getting nothing accomplished with my cosplays, even after working on them for hours on end. And Anime Boston is only 2 weeks away.

I finished Star Fighters top, my machine wouldn't take the ribbon well so i ended up hand stitching it in most places. Hopefully I can make the shorts tomorrow. I also got the tiara done, and the brooche casted so thats also a plus. The one thing I'm worried about is that I bought a seiya wig from a girl on cosplay.com that getting rid of hers and its still hasn't come in. She said she sent it out 2 mondays ago! I'm freaking out just a bit. but not too much since tiff said I could borrow hers for AB and she'll have Cassy bring it since she's unable to go.

And speaking of wigs. I also bought a wig from coswrox for a commission I was doing, and the order came in but that one wig was missing. I had all the others that was in my order. Trying to get ahold of anyone over there sucks. I don't really want to get into that, its a long story. Long story short, they recently got back to me and said that wig was out of stock till MAY! and wanted to know if I wanted a subsitute. So I told her which one and all she said was "I'll see what I can do." So now I have to wait and see if anythings going to come in. and the worst part is that that commission is due on the 23rd of this month. Ugh!

Katsucon is only a day away. ^^ EEEE I'm so excited! I have so many new costumes to dawn. Luckily I only have 2 things left to do costume wise:

Serge the inner seams of Sakura
Finish Rachaels Kikyo wig

Other than that, I have to clean out my car to pack me stuffs in it, and buy some snacky snacks for the trip. Luckily I packed all my bags and costumes 2 days ago. ^^

What sucks though is that I'm working tomorrow night, 6-10pm, so I'm going to get home late and I'll have to go right to bed to get up and out the door by 7am on thursday. Thats bad news only because I need to make sure I get everything done in the morning before I go to work. I'm not stressed now, but I bet I will be in the morning. >

So katsucon is extremely close now and luckily I have all my costumes done. But there is still little bits of stuff that needs to be done. Like buttons and styling wigs. I'm also waiting for things to come in the mail to complete my costumes.

Sunday:
I got nothing. Probably lounging around in a comfy costume or nothing at all. ;p

Ear gauges...

I'm so excited because I was looking around on ebay for a lot of 0g earrings in various colors and instead I found these awesome silicone ones the color of your skin. Because as some of you may know I have gauged ears and its really hard for me to make earrings for my characters. But these are tubes and one side is blocked to hide the huge hole in your ear. And they're squishy!:P

But the real reason why I'm excited besides the fact that they'll hide my gauges, is that your able to pierce them with regular earrings. So now I won't have to figure out a special way to make my earrings anymore. \o/ Yay!

Arisia 2008...

So I went to Arisia 2008 because they wanted anime judges for the masquerade this year. I was like why the hell not, and responded to the message.

It was such a huge mistake. Come to find out me and Rachael(The other Anime Judge) were only going to be judging the anime participants. As if it was a totally different masq.

The day started with having a meeting at 10am for an hour. So I woke up early and got there just in time. I didn't wear my costume in because i figured I'd change after the meeting and I didn't have enough time to put it on. Turns out they only needed us there to be introduced for a whole 10 seconds. Then we were able to leave unil 6:30pm.

I was mad just because of that. I mean what am I going to do at a sci-fi con? So I was incredibly bored for the next 7 and a half hours before we had go do craftsmanship judging. So me, Rachael, and her friend Lo went walking around, had lunch, and then played cards for a good 2 hours. We only knew about 5 other people there. And I met a guy that just latches onto people and stalks them. (My friends have personal experience with him ^^;) So I tried to stay away from him. Also their dealers room was split into many different hotel rooms. It was really sketchy. It was like the ones they were staying in too. I only went into 2 "stores" and was too weired out so I just didn't finish with the rest of the room. Arisia is definitely a hallway con.

We eneded up going to 2 panels as well. How to distress costumes, which was alright but the guy had a voice that could put you to sleep. And a Steam Punk vs. Cyber Punk panel. That panel blew. they had no pictures or physical objects to show what each thing was. They just kept using refernces from movies and books. And if you have no idea what either one is, you would have no clue what they were babbling about. They also kept dissing anime and how its its own media and crap and that steam punk and cyber punk can't come from it. I felt like i was supposed to say something because i was the anime rep at the con, but i decided to let others argue the point.

We went to the judging at 6:30 and no one knew what was going on. They had no idea where we were supposed to go. The green room staff gave us such an attitude as if they were better than us, just because we're anime judges. It was horrible. And the head woman didn't even show up in the green room at all and wouldn't answer her cell phone. We ended up only judging 4 people. That's it! 4! and 2 of them were young fans so they automatically get awards at arisia. There was really no point in us being there, they already had a craftsmanship judge and 4 presentation judges. So basically we just sat and watched the masquerade.

The only good news was that Chris won Best Anime Presentation for his bleach skit, and Nick and Steph one Best in Class Journeyman for their Fire and Ice cat walk. And me and racheal had nothing to do with the scores. So congratulations guys! You earned it.

But being at Arisia makes you apprieciate Anime Boston a hell of alot more. And that's pretty sad to me, especially because of what happened at last years masq. I will not be returning to Arisia again.

EDIT: In other news though, I finished my cybergoth skirt tonight. Yay! I made my own pattern so I feel good about it. :)

Ok so I didn't get everything done that I wanted to. But I did get a few things accomplished:

Sorry if the pictures are huge. I'm not sure how to put them "under the cut" ^^;

My Base dress for the bakery outfits is done. ^^

I contructed the base for maria's hair wisps,(man they're huge) and her Knife at the end of her hair.

And Judy's base coat. I have the sleeves pinned and the collar cut out too.

So that's all I got done today. I really slacked off. 0.o But I have alot of time this weekend to keep working. I'll be making a trip to all the second hand stores with Rachael on monday. Looking for shoes and jackets to modify. ^^

Oh and I figured I should post a picture of the cammy wig since I haven't yet. I completed it about a week ago.

I'm having a sewing party with Rachael starting tonight into all day tomorrow. She's staying the night. Hopefully I won't have to work. I'm on call so I'll know by 10am. But I have lots to get done I'm so behind because of the christmas season at work. But I finally have time now. I just finished Rachael's Cammy Wig a few hours ago. Yay! \^O^/

My weekend and christmas...

So yesterday I dressed as Haruhi from host club and walked around the mall for 2 hours. I was getting pictures done for a look alike contest since all my other pictures blew. I didn't have a wig in my first batch of pictures so I had to retake them. I also brought a santa hat just to get some cute christmas pictures. They came out really good.

Ah christmas is here, time for family and boredum. I went to my friends for christmas eve after having to work all day until 6:30pm. I got there right as they finished eating. But of course I eat anyway, I feel so fat. >< But my friend got me a tiny real christmas tree. It came with its own lights and decorations, it was awesome! I also got some chocolates, just what I need. <.<

So Yeah tomorrow, or I should say today, is christmas. So to everyone:

Let's just say I'm glad I have my snow tires on my car. We got 12" here I think, maybe more. Getting anywhere today was a hassle. It took me an hour and a half to get to the mall for my check coming from chicopee, which normally only takes 15 minutes. But there was also an accident over a bridge and then an 18 wheeler got stuck on the on ramp to 91. And of course I was behind it and couldn't turn around. So basically everyone just sat in there cars and twiddled there thumbs till someone told us what was going on. And when I got home, I was stuck in the house with nothing to do.

I really hate snow. XP

I've been going through alot lately and I've been trying to make the best out of it and keep a smile on infront of people. It doesn't seemed to be working. <.<

I just haven't been myself lately. I don't know what to do. I don't want to go to sleep at night because I know I'll have to deal with what comes the next day.

I'm going nowhere, and I have nothing. I'm 23 years old with nothing to show for it. I don't even want to work on costumes.

So I entered cosplay.com look-a-like contest (Tsubasa Chronicles)since this was the first one I was actually able to enter. But as I was looking through the finalists to vote. There's a few that really look like Sakura. I don't think I even have a chance. :( Oh well. Maybe next time. Voting ends on the 8th. ^^

So I've had all this time off cause I don't actually have a job, and I did absolutely nothing for costume work. I think it's because I've been so depressed the past 2 weeks. Ugh...

Anywho... I actually have been working on princess tutu this past week, or actually ever since my friend came over to have a sewing party. I must have got me in the mood for sewing.

Everythings done except that I need to add another blue ribbon, and the Ribbons and wings need to be attached into place. I haven't really figured out how to do that yet. ^^; Oh and also I have to make a crown. :3

I know it's missing the main leotard, but I'm ordering one from my dance catalog that has removable straps. I'm just going to replace them with one strap as if it was a halter. It'll also give the V-neck more form. ^^

So I just got asked by breathlessaire on cosplay.com to be in there wedding senshi group since the only one they were missing was Chibi-Usa. I totally said yes. I'm so excited. It's just going to be hard since I have so many things to do, costume wise, at Kastu.

I have a princess tutu photoshoot and as I'm told, a skit in the masquerade. ^^ (Haven't heard much on it, But still planning on doing it) A tsubasa hang out with Jamie, an Outlaw Star photoshoot, and now the wedding senshi group saturday morning.

I'm not even sure how I'm getting there. Cause if my BF doesn't go, I'll need to find a way there. I'd rather not drive 7 Hours by my lonesome. Last year I met Mike halfway but I'm not sure if that's an option. And I really hope that when my friend reserved the room he included me. But if I'm not, and its only me going, I'm sure I can squeeze in somewhere. :3

I'm amazed how many people contacted me to go katsucon this year. I wasn't even planning on going this year either. HAHAHA ^^; But Now I'm really excited!!

Dying my hair and junk..

So right now I'm dying my hair a deep auburn black. It should come out basically a dark purple. It's going to be a differnt color for me. But if I don't like it, I'll just switch back to black. My hair needed to be dyed so badly! It's been bleached and dyed manic panic blue on the tips for anime boston, but I had to dye it back to black when I got home for my stupid job. But over time the black just washed right out. So my hair now looks dark brown, grey and green in some places with blonde coming through. My roots are showing too, cause I haven't dyed my hair in so long. I bet no one could guess my real hair color. haha So we'll see how it comes out.

As for life, its been going well. I had the urge to make another costume and now I'm almost done with Jo from the OVA since it's really simple. My job sucks cause its only weekends now so I get about 100 dollars a week. But right now I have rehearsals for the show I'm in. For those of you who didn't know I'm going to be playing Marilyn Monroe in a singing show called Dead Legends Live at Six Flags New England. All I can say is that it'll definitely cure my stage fright pretty quickly.
